Claire established AIM Therapy for Children in 2009 and has grown it to the team it is today including a Management team involving Clinical Coordinators and a Practice Manager; a clinical team involving Senior and newly graduated Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Physiotherapists and an Practice Administrators operating from premises in Wembley, Joondalup and Canning Vale. Claire oversees the clinical services, clinical team and the business.
Claire’s background includes receiving a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) with First Class Honours from Curtin University (2008). Her Honours project involved investigating a role for Occupational Therapy in an Australian Mother-Baby Unit. In 2010 Claire presented this research at the World Federation Conference in Chile and at the State Occupational Therapy Conference. Claire has provided developmental and mental health Occupational Therapy for 3 – 17-year-olds for over ten years. She has worked with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, Dysgraphia and Sensory Processing Disorder. Claire has participated in several mentoring and training programs worldwide for Occupational Therapy, business management, team management and mindset coaching. She has and is currently assisting in the supervision of fourth-year students from Curtin University and Edith Cowan University.
Claire loves spending time with her 4-year-old son and baby girl, date nights with her husband, visiting family and catching up with friends. Claire values and enjoys keeping fit and healthy so always makes sure she finds time to exercise with her favourite activity being attending group fitness classes.
Her passion is to provide the highest quality of clinical services to all children and teens who receive services from AIM Therapy for Children and loves coming up with and rolling out new and innovative ways to do this. Claire highly values all feedback received in order to continually improve clinical services. She hopes AIM can be a valued partner in your life to help your child or teen reach their goals!
