Joanne has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Occupational Therapy from Curtin
University.
Before joining AIM in mid-2020, Joanne gained experience working with children in a Perth
school-based environment as well as in a clinic in Malaysia. She has worked with children of
all ages with a range of different diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral
Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, and
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. She has also worked with children with
hypermobility, low muscle tone, delayed speech and language and those experiencing
difficulty with handwriting, emotional regulation, sensory modulation and gross and fine
motor skills. Joanne is a passionate Occupational Therapist who loves working with young
people and their families to ensure they feel empowered, valued and have the best start to
life. She understands that we all have different strengths and have all needed help with
something at one time or another.
Joanne loves all forms of camping, exploring, being outdoors and enjoys playing soccer. She
values time spent with friends and family and is passionate about being involved in her
community.
