Katie is an enthusiastic occupational therapist who enjoys working alongside children and their families to help them achieve their goals. Katie has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (Honours) which she completed at Curtin University in 2017.
Before joining the AIM team Katie worked for a community-based disability provider. Katie has experience working with children who have a diagnosis of Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Downs Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, sensory loss (i.e. hearing impairment, vision loss, dual sensory loss), and a variety of other rare genetic disorders. Katie is a trained Secret Agent Society facilitator, a Circle of Security facilitator, and training to apply the principles of the Early Start Denver Model. Katie is passionate about children’s development and engagement in life, with a particular interest in the areas of early intervention services, routine-based interventions, protective behaviours, and social skills.
In her spare time, Katie loves spending time outdoors. playing social sports, like volleyball, and being with friends and family.
