Lorelei graduated from James Cook University in North Queensland with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours). Lorelei enjoys helping children of all ages reach their speech and language goals, and has a particular interest in working with early school age children. Lorelei has extensive experience working alongside pre-school aged children with Developmental Language Disorder at a Language Development Centre, delivering intervention at an individual, small group, and whole class level. She is well experienced in helping children build skills in the areas of comprehension, expressive language, narrative, social
Lorelei enjoys working closely with families, to ensure they feel involved and empowered to support their children outside of the clinic. Having children of her own, she understands the demands of parenting, and aims to develop practical therapy plans tailored to the child’s interests to achieve their personal goals. Lorelei has a passion for helping children develop functional skills that will build their confidence, as they grow and find their place in the world.
Lorelei is a current member of Speech Pathology Australia, and is committed to keeping up to date with the latest evidenced-based therapies. She has attended workshops such as Colourful Semantics, Talk for Writing, and Sounds-Write.
When not at work, you can find Lorelei enjoying culinary delights in her back patio with her family, down at the beach, or attending Pilates.
