Mia Tarpey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy which she completed at Curtin University. Mia has worked as an Occupational Therapist in paediatric and aged care settings where she has gained experience working with individuals from the ages of three years through to 107 years. This experience has developed Mia’s ability to build report and communicate effectively across all ages and backgrounds.
Prior to starting at AIM Mia worked with children in many schools across Perth where she completed assessments, screenings, and ran group and individual therapy sessions. Mia has gained experience working with children who experience Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Mia is committed to working collaboratively with families and including family support in her therapy and intervention plans. Mia keeps herself very busy on the weekends running around with her own children including three boys and one little girl.
