Since graduating from Edith Cowan University Michelle has worked in paediatrics with children who have speech and language difficulties, in particular early intervention for children aged 0-4. She enjoys working collaboratively with occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other team members to provide holistic care management. Michelle has experience providing therapy at schools as well as as in clinics. She has also been involved in providing parent education sessions and supervising 2nd year Speech Pathology students on placement.
Michelle is accepting referrals for 0-15 year old’s for literacy, early speech and language support, articulation, comprehension, Autism Spectrum Disorder, late dummy sucking, fluency, childhood apraxia of speech and social skills. Michelle embraces opportunities to build a strong knowledge base to help deepen her paediatric knowledge. She has a current Speech Pathology Australia Membership and has attended many workshops including Talk 4 Writing, Key Word Sign and BLADES Language Therapy course. Michelle is trained in providing PROMPT therapy (speech sound intervention) as well as Sounds Write (a phonics based literacy intervention).
Michelle has a passion for improving the quality of life and future outcomes for children with speech and language difficulties and their families.
