Mikaila is an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who is passionate about assisting children of all ages to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. Mikaila graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2018. Before beginning work at AIM Mikaila worked as a transdisciplinary paediatric Occupational Therapist at a large community-based therapy provider.
Mikaila enjoys working with children of all ages. She has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Hypermobility, Cerebral Palsy and Intellectual Disability. She has provided clients with individual and group therapy sessions in school, home and community settings as well as within a therapy centre. Mikaila has a strong passion for helping children to reach their full potential and does so by providing children and their families with holistic and family-centred support.
In her spare time, Mikaila enjoys staying healthy by playing netball, doing reformer pilates classes and walking along the coast. She enjoys being anywhere outdoors and socialising with family and friends and travelling. In the Summer she volunteers through Ocean Heroes, helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to learn to surf.
