Lauren

Lauren is a Speech Pathologist (Master of Speech Pathology, Curtin University) who also holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Curtin University) and a Master of Science in Mental Health in Learning Disabilities (King’s College London). 

Lauren enjoys working with a diverse range of clients across different ages, abilities and communication needs. Lauren has experience working with children and adolescents who have a variety of diagnoses and conditions including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental Delay and Acquired Brain Injuries. Lauren also has experience and a particular interest in Selective Mutism and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). 

Lauren is passionate about building positive therapeutic relationships with her clients and their families, and working collaboratively with families, educators and other professionals to empower clients and support their participation and communication in everyday activities and environments. Lauren strongly believes that therapy is most effective when it is meaningful, engaging and tailored to the person’s individual strengths, experiences, interests and goals. 

Outside of speech pathology, Lauren enjoys travelling, creative pursuits and spending time with her family and friends.
