Charissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy with Honours from Curtin University. She has always had a strong passion for working with children and families, and is dedicated to empowering them to achieve their goals in meaningful and sustainable ways.

Before joining AIM, Charissa gained valuable experience working and volunteering with children and families across a range of settings and age groups. She has supported individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down Syndrome, and sensory processing challenges.

Charissa also completed a clinical placement at AIM during her studies and enjoyed it so much that she has returned as a registered occupational therapist. She is committed to providing therapy that is collaborative, strength-based, and aligned with a neuroaffirming approach.

Outside of work, Charissa enjoys reading, trying new recipes to cook, visiting the park, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

She looks forward to working alongside you and your child to help them reach their fullest potential!
