SCSA Special Examination Conditions
AIM Therapy offers comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for year 7-12 students needing special provisions in timed assessments, in accordance with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) guidelines for disability adjustments. The assessment will ascertain if a student is eligible to receive special provisions in timed assessments, identify which special provision(s) will best support a student in timed assessments, provide recommendations regarding remediation and provide strategies on how to best support a student with their learning in the classroom and at home. Diagnoses that may warrant special provisions in timed assessments include: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Motor Dysgraphia, Joint Hyper-mobility, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression, hearing/vision impairments, etc.
When booking an assessment with AIM Therapy, please ensure you notify our friendly Admin team that the assessment is for special provisions in timed assessments to ensure you are booked in with an Occupational Therapist who has been specifically trained to provide these assessments. If you can also let our friendly Admin team know what school year your child is in.
